If you knew you would be stranded in the woods for a month…?
Had a water source, plenty of hogs, squirrels, deer, and rabbits. You and your best buddies have a camp of sorts built up, and you must decide how to arm yourself. Don’t worry about them, as you trust them to make wise decisions in how to arm themselves.
You’re limited to one knife, and two weapons. Keep in mind that wandering the forest looking for ammo will almost certainly get you killed.
I’d get a bolt action 22 if at all possible, with three 550 packs of ammo, and a compound bow rated at 50-60 pounds, 30 arrowheads(all fixed) and 20 or so shafts. I’d keep a 3 1/2 inch knife, as anything bigger can complicate gettin’ meat off a squirrel, but anything smaller would be useless on deer/hogs.
Keep in mind you can’t go too expensive, because you have to help fund for all other supplies(lighters, toilet paper, a boat, medical, tarps, saws, and more lighters etc.).
This is easy, a .22 to shoot most of my food, and my 30-06 for anything bigger.
