My son is in boot camp at great lakes, he had Air Crew rescue swimmer contract with a big bonus. Because he did not disclose his Feb lasik surgery they disqualified him 2 weeks away from boot graduation. Took all his bonus and screwed him. He was loving it. They reclassed him as a HM- corpsman. My question he wants to attend FMF school after his HM “A’ school, is this possible to just volunter for or do you have go to the fleet and be medical supply clerk first. He can also reapply for AIRR after Feb 09 when a year has past since the surgery .
