How can I make this blister on the back of my heel heal faster?

So me being me, I wore a pair of boots with socks that cut off at the ankle so the skin ended up getting irritated and I got a blister. It’s not really painful all that much. The only time it really sucks is when I wake up in the morning and it’s dry, so its kind of hard to walk down the stairs.
Anyway, what I’ve been doing is putting Triple Antibiotic Ointment on it 2 or 3 times a day, and when I first put it on, I put a band aid on over it for like and hour so it wont all rub off. I also wear a band aid when I wear shoes to prevent rubbing and irritation. I’ve heard that you should just let it dry out so the wound will just close over and heal itself (and I’ve also heard ofurinatingg on blisters, but that’s not happening over here…), but letting it dry out just doesn’t sound right to me.
What am I possibly doing wrong, and what could I do so I could boost the healing process?

Your blister is caused from friction, so what can you do to eliminate continued friction? Bandaid….
